Supreme Leader Visits Imam Khomeini (RA) Mausoleum

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei paid a visit to the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA) on Saturday morning.

The visit came on the occasion of the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) historical return to the country in 1979 after 15 years in exile, the website of the Supreme Leader’s office reported.
During the visit, Ayatollah Khamenei recited Surah Fatiha (the first Surah of the Holy Quran) and paid tribute to the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
His eminence later visited the tombs of a number of martyrs in Behesht Zahra (Tehran’s cemetery) and prayed to God to bestow upon the martyrs an elevated position in the Hereafter.
Millions of Iranians across Iran have begun ten days of celebrations, marking the 35th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
