TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 25th Tehran International Quran Exhibition came to a conclusion in a ceremony on Friday night.

Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri and a number of other cultural, religious and Quranic officials were present at the closing ceremony.

It began with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by a prominent Qari and then Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Heshmati, the head of the exhibition, presented a report on the organization of the international Quranic event.

He highlighted the achievements of this year’s expo, saying some 70 governmental and non-governmental organization cooperated in holding the event.

He further referred to the relative contentment of the visitors with the exhibition as a sign that the organizers have followed the right path.

Also speaking was the culture minister who underlined his ministry’s resolve to spare no efforts to spread the Quranic culture and extend the Quranic discourse in society.

Elsewhere at the closing ceremony, the top pavilions in different section were introduced.

Also, the International Quran News Agency (IQNA) was named the top news agency covering the events of the exhibition.

The international Quran expo, the largest Quranic event in the Muslim world, is annually organized by the culture ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy during the holy month of Ramadan.

Showcasing the latest Quranic achievements and products aimed at developing the Quranic culture, the exhibition seeks to promote the Quran in society and help people get more aquatinted with the Holy Book.

This year, like the previous two years, the exhibition was held at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) for 18 days.
