KUALA LUMPUR (IQNA) – Iran’s representative in Malaysia’s 60th international Quran competition said he is well-acquainted with the technical and specialized points in the regulations of the contest.

He said they include the need for observing the four Maghams (tones) in recitation and managing the duration of the recitation so that it won’t take longer than ten minutes.

In order to help the Qaris manage their time, there is a three-color light whose green, yellow and red colors, showing how much time is left, he noted.

Dehqan, whose turn to go on the stage is Thursday, said he feels no stress and is fully ready for putting up a good performance.

He added that he would keep calm and avoid any unnecessary activities until his Thursday recitation.

The Iranian Quran reciter also said the performances on the second night of the contest (Tuesday) were better than the night before, adding that Qaris from Cambodia, Singapore and Brunei did well.
