Iran Ready for Cooperation with Senegal Quranic Schools

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Cultural Center in Senegal is willing to develop cooperation with Quranic schools in the African country.

 

This was announced in recent meetings of Iran’s Ambassador to Senegal Ainollah Qashqavi and Cultural Attaché Seyed Hassan Esmati with religious leaders in the cities of Touba and Kaolack.

In the meetings, the Iranian ambassador underlined Iran’s resolve to enhance joint cooperation with Senegal.

Esmati, meanwhile, stressed the cultural center’s willingness to promote educational cooperation with the African country’s Quranic schools and institutes.

The Senegalese religious figures, for their part, hailed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s role in the Muslim world and called for boosting ties with the country.

Senegal is a country in West Africa with a population of around 14.5 million. More than 90 percent of the country’s population is estimated to be Muslim.
