Al-Mustafa Int’l University Quran Contest Slated for February 21

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final stage of Al-Mustafa International University’s 24th international Quran contest will be held on February 21-22, an official said.

 

Hojat-ol-Islam Yusef Mohammadi told IQNA that the Imam Khomeini (RA) Higher Education center in the holy city of Qom will host the event.

He said that in the men’s section, 80 have reached the final stage and in the women’s section the number is 20.

According to the official, they will compete in the categories of Quran recitation, memorization of the Quran and Tarteel.

He noted that some 13,000 individuals took part in the preliminary round of the contest held in the university’s branches in Iran and other countries.

Those who made it to the final stage are from 20 different countries, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi stated.

He went on to say that the awarding ceremony will be held on February 24, with a number of senior Quranic and seminary figures in attendance.

Al-Mustafa International University is a religious and Islamic university established to expand and introduce Islamic and religious teachings in the world through modern facilities and technologies.

It annually organizes the international Quran and Hadith festival for its students and their family members from various countries.
