210 Quran Memorizers Graduate in Turkey
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A ceremony was held in Turkey earlier this week to celebrate the graduation of 210 Quran memorizers.
According to Turk Press news website, the Dar al-Ifta of Sakarya province organized the ceremony.
It was attended by the memorizers, their family members and a number of officials including Ali Erbas, head of the Directorate of Religious Affairs.
Erbas in an address praised the memorizers for managing to learn the Quran by heart and recalled a Hadith by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) that says “the best of you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it to others.”
Later in the ceremony, the 210 memorizers received their Quran memorization certificates.
Turkey is a Muslim majority country in West Asia. Nearly 99 percent of the country's population adhere to Islam.
