The first museum of Islamic culture named Halifa Altay was opened last week at a mosque in the east Kazakhstan on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
Besides different data-x-items introducing the history of Islam as well as the rituals and traditions of Kazakh people, there is a digital copy of the Holy Quran at the museum that includes translations of the Holy Book in Kazakh, English and Russian.
According to the Iranian Cultural Center in Kazakhstan, as Daniel Ahmadov, governor of the province wrote about the museum in his Facebook page, it has different sections featuring the dissemination of Islam in Kazakhstan, Islam in today’s world, and books dating back to two centuries ago.
