Supreme Leader Cautions against Fomenting Sectarian Discord

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has warned against undermining Islamic unity and provoking disunity between Shias and Sunnis.

 Speaking Sunday in a gathering of religious elegists and thousands of people held on the occasion of Hazrat Zahra (SA) birthday, Ayatollah Khamenei added that fomenting Shia-Sunni disunity will only serve the interests of the enemies of Islam.

Elsewhere in his statements, the Supreme Leader referred to the relentless attempts by the enemies of the Islamic revolution to undermine people’s beliefs and deviate the path of the revolution through complicated communications and electronic means, stressing that the enemy seeks to bring Islam to its knees and prevent Shia society and Shia teachings from becoming a role model in the world.
His Eminence underscored that the Islamic Establishment has unique means in possession to confront the enemy plots, referring to religious sessions as one of these unique means.
Ayatollah Khamenei described holding spiritual gatherings about the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) as a precious opportunity in the Islamic country and a Divine blessing, stressing that the Seerah and spiritual status of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) must be a role model for Muslims to attain great social objectives.
