“Seerah of Baqi’ Imams (AS)” Scientific Forum Held in Kazemayn
According to the information website of Alawi holy shrine, the forum was titled “we are thirsty for the thoughts of the Imams (AS) of Baqi' and act upon their Seerah”.
Seyyed Saleh Al-Heidari, head of Awqaf Office of Iraqi Shias, Jamal Dabbagh, custodian of the holy shrine of Imam Kazem (AS), Ali Al-Adib, Minister of Scientific Education and Research in Iraq as well as representatives from the holy shrines in this country participated at the forum.
Investigation of religious researches, exhibition of Islamic books and calligraphy and exhibition of photos and Islamic arts were the sideline programs of the forum.
“Javadayn (AS)” fifth international book fair was also opened on May 9 with the participation of 48 publications and religious, intellectuals and cultural institutes at the holy shrines of Imam Musa Kazem (AS) and Imam Javad (AS).
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Seyyed Heidar Al-Mousawi, in charge of Alawi holy shrine’s pavilion, said that the holy shrine has presented some 100 works on the Seerah of Imam Ali (AS) at the exhibition.
He added that a collection of ancient magazines and journals of the holy shrine, thesis, an English translation of Nahj-ul-Balagha and a book titled “Imam Ali (AS): the voice of human justice” written in English by George Jordac, Christian intellectual, as well as Seerah of Imam Ali (AS) in English language have also been put on display at the exhibition.
The international exhibition in Kazemayn will conclude today, May 11.
Maqbaratul Baqi’ is a cemetery in the holy city of Medina, located to the southeast of the Masjid al-Nabawi (The Holy Prophet's (PBUH) Mosque). Imam Hassan ibn Ali (AS), Imam Sajjad (AS), Imam Baqer (AS) and Imam Sadeq (AS), are buried in Maqbaratul Baqi'.
