More and more people are determined to fight worldwide Zionism, said a prominent Western academician and political activist.

In an interview with IQNA, Professor Rodney Shakespeare, a visiting Professor of Binary Economics at Trisakti University, Jakarta, Indonesia, also described the Gaza situation as exactly parallel with that of the Nazis in 1943 attacking the Jews in the Warsaw ghetto.
Professor Shakespeare is a Cambridge MA, a qualified UK Barrister, a co-founder of the Global Justice Movement, a member of the Christian Council for Monetary Justice.
He is a frequent critic of Israel, insisting that Israel seeks to take over the entire Middle East from "the Mediterranean to the Euphrates" as described in the notorious forgery The Protocols of Zion.

Following is the interview with Professor Shakespeare conducted on the occasion of the International Quds Day:

Q: The Middle East today is very different from when Imam Khomeini proposed the commemoration of International Quds Day, the geopolitical constructs have changed over the years. How relevant do you think it is today? What makes people come out year after year to mark this day?

A: Al Quds day is even more relevant today than when it was declared by Imam Khomeini in 1979.  Since 1979, Israel's creeping genocide of the Palestinians has continued and the USA, like an indulgent parent with a spoilt child, continues to approve atrocities done by the Zionists.  There is also the global financial system intent on dominating the world and the intention of NATO continually trying to expand.
Fortunately, more and more people are waking up to the need to respond to Iranian leadership and to come out onto the streets to protest in every way they can.

Q: What is the significance of the International Quds Day, especially given the current Israeli aggressions on Palestine?

A: It reminds that decent people will never surrender to the Zionists and that Iran leads the fight for political justice for Palestine.

Q: Many non-Muslims, too, take part in International Quds Day rallies in different countries. What does that indicate?
A: Al Quds Day is about Palestine but it is also about Zionism and its embodiment in USA worldwide aggression.  More and more people are determined to fight worldwide Zionism.

Q: How do the rallies held on this day play a role in boosting Islamic unity?

A: The rallies remind people of who is the true enemy which is Zionism.

Q: What can the Muslim world do, other than holding rallies, to support the oppressed Palestinians?

A: Ordinary Muslims should overthrow the autocratic Arab regimes which are hand in hand with Israel and the West.  The West agrees to support these regimes to crush democracy in exchange for the regimes giving support to (or, at least, not opposing) the continued expansion of Israel.

Q: What is the reason behind global silence over the Israeli attacks on innocent Palestinians in Gaza?

A: Zionism controls the governments of the West and also controls the main media outlet.

Q: What is the responsibility of international bodies in this regard?

A: Israel can always do what it likes because, in the UN Security Council, the USA always vetoes any motion against Israel.

Q: Israel failed to achieve its objectives in the previous wars on Gaza. Why then has Tel Aviv started another war?

A: Israel's objective is to destroy the people of Gaza.  The Gaza situation is exactly parallel with that of the Nazis in 1943 attacking the Jews in the Warsaw ghetto.
