Quran Contest for Students Held in Basra

-- The second Quran competition for Iraq’s university students was held yesterday, May 10, at the college of sciences in the University of Basra, IPA reported.
The Quran recitation competition was organized by the university in cooperation with the city’s Dar-ol-Quran al-Majid, Muhammad Jasim, dean of the college, said.
He said the jury panel of the contest was made up of top Quran reciters of the country.
Three top winners of the competition will be awarded in a ceremony later this week.
The Quran recitation competition was organized on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA).
