Najaf to Host Imam Ali (AS) Seminar
-- The holy city of Najaf, Iraq, will host an international seminar on the life, character and Seerah of Imam Ali (AS), Abba news agency reported.
Organized by Al- Ferdaus Information and Cultural Center, the conference will be held with the motto “Hazrat Ali (AS), Voice of Humanity’s Justice”.
The organizing committee has invited scholars and researchers to send their papers and research works on themes of the seminar to the secretariat of the event by June 20.
The seminar’s themes include: “concept of justice in Imam Ali’s (AS) remarks”, “social justice in Imam Ali’s (AS) Seerah”, “status of women in Imam Ali’s (AS) thought”, “family rights in Imam Ali’s (AS) view”, and “justice in Imam Ali’s (AS) judgments”.
A scientific committee will review the papers and select the best ones to be presented at the seminar. The best papers will also be awarded at the end of the seminar.
The holy city of Najaf, which is located about 160 km south of Baghdad, is home to the shrine of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS).
