Resorting to Seerah Alavi for Combating Seditions Urged
-- Sheikh Abdel Amir Qabalan Vice President of Lebanon’s Higher Islamic Council stressed the need for following the Seerah of Imam Ali (AS) in order to combat Fitnas (seditions) and hostilities.
Speaking about the life and character of the first Imam (AS), Sheikh Qabalan said, “Imam Ali defeated the oppressors of his time through the power of faith, bravery and the truth. We should follow the Seerah of Imam Ali and defeat the Zionists who are a source of evil and threaten our peace and security.”
He congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Imam Ali’s (AS) birth anniversary and said that Imam Ali does belong to one religion or school of thought but to all humanity.
“On this auspicious occasion, we should cherish the love of Imam Ali (AS) and follow his Seerah,” he said.
Elsewhere in his speech, Sheikh Qabalan called for promotion of national unity in Lebanon in order to save the country from internal and external crises.
