Rallies to Be Held to Protest Quran Desecration

-- Iranian Quranic community will hold rallies today to protest desecration of the holy Quran by extremist individuals in the United States.
According to Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Mohammadi Quranic deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the rallies will be held in 12 provinces from 4 p.m.
Quran activists, memorizers, reciters, and scholars will be attending the rallies, he added.
In Tehran a rally will be held at Palestine Square where slogans will be chanted in Persian, Arabic and English and one of the country’s officials will deliver a speech, head of the Center for Coordination, Development and Promotion of Quranic Activities said.
Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi went of to say that a statement will be issued at the end of the event denouncing the desecration of the Quran.
