Quranic Managers, Translators and Interpreters Should Go on Hajj Journey
Sending Quranic managers, translators and interpreters on a journey to Hajj can provide them with an opportunity to cooperate in the promotion of Islamic teachings, Mahdi Nadi, head of Dar-ol-Quran Center in Tehran said.
He told IQNA that sending international Quran reciters to this spiritual journey began in the 1980s by Islamic Development Organization in an attempt to let the world Muslims know about Iranians’ firm belief in the Holy Book and that their Quran is not different from that of other Muslims.
“Iranians’ recitation of the Quran during the ceremony of Hajj was a great help to dispel the wrong propagations that were widespread at that time against Iranians,” he went on to say.
Criticizing the process of selecting the Quranic figures for this spiritual journey in the past 2 decades, he called for a better plan to be devised by Quranic officials in the country, adding: “Apart from Quranic reciters and memorizers, the managers, translators and interpreters active in this area should be sent to the Hajj Ceremony to share their valuable experiences with others.”
“Going on this journey should not be an exclusive chance given to specific members of the Quranic community,” Mr. Nadi further said, noting that sending Quranic managers, translators and interpreters to the journey can serve them as a source of encouragement as well as a good incentive for their Quranic developmental activities.
“The Quranic community should also be dispatched to other Islamic countries to pursue their missions and exchange their mutual experiences,” he remarked.
