A national plan for memorization of the Holy Quran will be carried out in the country, a Culture Ministry official familiar with the plan said.
Speaking Saturday, July 2, at the opening ceremony of the first specialized Quran Memorization Course in Mashhad, Mohammad Ali Khajepiri added that according to the plan, three million Iranians would become Quran memorizers during the second year of its implementation.
“Once this is realized, we can hope for the realization of the Quranic community in our country.”
He added that the plan would be a prelude to realization of the Quranic community, demanded by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Former head of the Center for Coordination, Development and Promotion of Quranic Activities further said, “Based on the guidelines set by the Supreme Leader, we should pave the way for the Quranic community to be realized. It happens when the majority of people in the society can read the Quran accurately, memorize it, reflect on its teachings, and act upon them in their life.”
