Speaking at a special session in the 3rd International “Baran-e Ghadir” Conference in Tehran on Sunday, Gholam Ali Haddad Adel added that Ghadir provides answers to the issue of governance in the Islamic world.
“If we acknowledge that the troubles of the Muslim world today and its problems throughout the history of Islam have originated from corrupt governments ruling Muslims, and if we accept that the issue of governance is the number one issue in the Islamic world, then the paramount significance of Ghadir will become quite clear.”
He described Ghadir as an issue that as soon as one thinks of it, he will acknowledge its truth.
“If we realize what went on in Ghadir and what the HolY prophet (PBUH) wanted, we will recognize that Ghadir is not a pond that existed (in Saudi Arabia) 1400 years ago but it is an huge ocean whose rain has blessed us today.”
Haddad Adel underlined that Ghadir is not an issue that belongs to history but a major issue for Muslims in the past, today and in the future.
He further read out an ode in praise of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH), saying he has written the poem in response to the recent sacrileges against the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Titled “Rahmatun Lil-Alamin” (blessing for the whole world), Sunday’s special session of 3rd International “Baran-e Ghadir” Conference was also attended by head of Islamic Development Organization’s Arts Department Mohsen Momeni Sharif, secretary of the conference Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Zaeri and a number of Iranian and foreign guests.
