Winners of UAE’s Quran Memorization Contest Honored

Top participants of the 13th edition of Ras Al-Khaimah Holy Quran Award for women were awarded in the closing ceremony of the contest on March 2.
According to Al-Ittihad newspaper, the ceremony was held at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development with the participation of female contestants and their families as well as some of the UAE’s high-ranking figures.
Speaking at the program, Bint Juma'a al-Majid, wife of Sheikh Saud bin Saqr, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al-Khaimah encouraged the female Quran memorizers to try their best in memorization of the Divine Word.
The national competition was attended by 59 girls and women from among whom 10 top participants of the 5 categories of the contest were awarded.
A seminar titled “Heaven and Its Blessings” was held at Sheikh Zayid Mosque of Ras Al-Khaimah on the sidelines of this edition of the Quran contest.
