Late Ayatollah Fazel-Lankarani Commemorated
A ceremony was held on Thursday in the holy city of Qom to commemorate the late source of emulation grand Ayatollah Fazel-Lankarani.
The ceremony, held at Qom’s A’azam Mosque concurrent with the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA), was attended by a number of sources of emulation, seminary scholars, members of the Majlis, and different groups of people.
Grand Ayatollahs Nouri-Hamedani, Sobhani, Alavi-Gorgani, and Javadi-Amoli, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, Ayatollah Namazi, Ayatollah Salawati and Hojat-ol-Islam Ghazi-Askar were among the senior figures attending the event.
Addressing the memorial servce, Hojat-ol-Islam Sediqi praised the character of late Ayatollah Fazel-Lankarani and said he would always strive to safeguard the school of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) and Welayat.
Hojat-ol-Islam Sediqi also noted that the late grand source of emulation was committed to holding ceremonies in his home marking the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA).
Born in 1931, Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Fazel-Lankarani passed away on June 17, 2007.
