The Quran-based Sciences Section of the 21st International Holy Quran Exhibition will be inaugurated in a ceremony on Tuesday night, July 9.
Deputy of the section Hami-Reza Yunesi told IQNA that Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel who heads the Specialized Council for Elevating Humanities, will officiate the ceremony.
He said the section is a combination of two sections in the previous edition of the exhibition, namely “Scientific Miracles of the Quran” and “Transforming Humanities”.
He added that the section pursues several objectives such as following the guidelines set by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution about Islamization of universities, ensuring the participation of scholars and thinkers in presenting new theories about Quranic topics, clarifying the status of the Quran as the foundation of sciences, and promoting Quranic strategies and Islamic teachings for solving problems in societies.
Yunesi said the section’s programs include holding expert forums, presenting scientific and research books and journals, and screening 3-dimension movies featuring the wonders of the Holy Quran’s scientific miracles.
He went on to say that top researchers in Quranic fields will be honored at the section during the month-long Quran exhibition.
