The world's biggest jug decorated with Quranic calligraphy works has been put on display at Quran and Etrat Exhibition in the holy Shrine of Hazrat Ma’soumeh (SA) in Qom.
According to IQNA’s branch in the holy city of Qom, the exhibition is being held on the occasion of Razavi Culture Week in the province.
Ali Abbasi Esfahrud, Iranian veteran artist who is in charge of one of the exhibition’s pavilions called “Veteran’s Art Center”, said that such exhibitions with valuable artworks are very influential in disseminating and deepening religious teachings in the society.
Referring to the artworks in the pavilion, he said that verses of the 30th Juz (part) of the Holy Quran have been carved on the jug, which weighs over 30 kilograms.
It took him more than 4000 hours to write the verses in 51 lines on the jug, he added.
Abbasi Esfahrud also said that he will write Hadith Kisa on another jug in the near future.
