19th Quran & Hadith Olympiad of Al-Mustafa University to Kick off on Nov 20
Director General of Al-Mustafa International University said the 19th of the university’s Quran and Hadith Olympiad will open on November 20.
Hossein Assadi told IQNA’s Qom branch that the theme of this year’s Quranic event is “Quran and Lifestyle”.
He said registration for the Olympiad has started with the beginning of the Ten-day Velayat celebrations and will continue until November 1.
According to Assadi, the aim of the event is to develop and deepen the Quranic atmosphere in the university and promote acquaintance with the Holy Book among the students as well as assessing the outcome of Quranic activities in Al-Mustafa International University.
He said the theme of the Olymopiad, namely “Quran and Lifestyle”, was selected in light of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s guidelines about Islamic lifestyle and the need for designing a lifestyle based on the teachings of the Holy Quran.
Assadi added that students of the Al-Mustafa International University in Iran and other countries will take part in the different categories of the Olympiad at four levels.
He concluded by saying that the final stage of the Olympiad will be held in Qom in February during the Ten-day Dawn Celebrations (marking the victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution).
