IUP to Hold Islamic Awareness Day

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An Islamic Awareness Day will be held at Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Tuesday.

It is sponsored by the IUP Muslim Student Association and the Saudi Student Association.

“The Message of Peace” is the theme of this year’s program, which will be held in the Hadley Union Building Ohio Room. All events are free and open to the community.The program begins with a Quran recitation and introduction; “Is Islam a Religion of Peace?” at 5:25 p.m.; “Mercy to all that Exists” at 5:40 p.m.; a video titled “A Peaceful Religion” at 5:55 p.m.; “Women and Peace” at 6:05 p.m.; “What I Like about Islam: A Convert Perspective” at 6:20 p.m.; and “Elements of Inner Peace in Islam” at 6:30 p.m.
The program concludes with a question-and-answer session.Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. to all attendees.
Other activities will include Hadith (Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) sayings) board and try-the-hijab (head-scarf) booth.
