Imam Khomeini’s (RA) Character, Great Achievements Inspired by Quran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Chairman of Iran’s Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani underlined that the character and great and unprecedented accomplishments of the late founder of the Islamci Republic of Iran were influenced and inspired by the Holy Quran.

He made the remarks in an address to an international conference titled “Quran in Imam Khomeini’s (RA) Seerah and Thought”.

Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani added that as time passes, more Quranic aspects of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) thoughts are revealed. 

In a time when no one would have thought it possible, Imam Khomeini (RA) managed to lead the Islamic Revolution of Iran to victory, he further said.

Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani also noted that Imam Khomeini (RA) stressed the importance of Islamic unity based on the teachings of the Holy Quran.

The one-day international conference is underway in the Iranian capital city’s Milad Tower with the participation of scholars and thinkers from different countries.

A number papers on themes like  the importance of Quran in Imam Khomeini’s (RA) view, Quran interpretation principles in view of Imam Khomeini (RA), manifestation of Quranic teachings in Imam Khomeini’s (RA) political and social Seerah, and Quranic ethics in Imam Khomeini’s (RA) deeds and words will be presented at the scholarly event.
