The rallies will be held in response to the Al Khalifa
regime’s continued crackdown on Bahraini people’s peaceful protests.
The demonstrators will also condemn the recent execution of prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr Baqir al-Nimr by the Saudi regime, al-Alam reported.
Saudi Arabia’s execution of 47 prisoners, including Sheikh Nimr, drew global condemnation on January 2.
Sheikh Nimr had been detained in July 2012 on charges of delivering anti-regime speeches and defending political prisoners.
Tomorrow’s rallies in Bahrain will come ahead of the 5th anniversary of the start of Bahraini people’s February 14, 2011 uprising against the ruling regime.
Since 2011, Bahrainis began to take to the streets to demand a change in the political system.
The regime in Manama responded with a heavy-handed crackdown by killing dozens and arresting hundreds of people, including notable opposition leaders.
