Quran and Hadith Olympiad Held in Indonesia

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A national Olympiad of Quran and Hadith was organized by the representative office of Al-Mustafa International University in Indonesia.

According to the website of the university, the Sadra Islamic College also cooperated in holding the competition.

Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mufid Husseini Kuhsari, representative of the university in the Southeast Asian country, was present at the Quranic event.

Quran and Hadith Olympiad Held in Indonesia

More than 100 students from different universities of the country and the centers affiliated to the representative office of Al-Mustafa University participated in the competition.

Quran activists from the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University in Jakarta, the Ilm Al-Quran Institute of Jakarta, PTIQ Institute, UNU, STKQ, Madinat-ol-Ilm Islamic College, Al-Mustafa Seminary in Jakarta, as well as YAPI, Al-Zahra, Al-Hadi and Dar-ol-Taqrib seminaries competed in various categories of the Olympiad.

The opening ceremony of the national event was held with the presence of directors and deputies of the representative office of Al-Mustafa University and a large number of academic figures of the country.

Addressing the ceremony, Muhammad Roum, student of Sadra Islamic College and head of the executive committee of the competition, said that the national Olympiad plays important role in strengthening brotherhood and relations among the universities and seminaries in Indonesia.

Hashim Adnani, culture and education deputy of the office, also said that the Olympiad disseminates the love of Quran and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in the society.

The other speaker in the ceremony was Hojat-ol-Islam Kuhsari, who stressed the important role of Quran in creating unity and brotherhood among Muslims and said that if all Muslims get acquainted with the teachings of Quran there will be no divisions in the Islamic world.
