According to parlmany.com, Muhammad Mukhtar Guma, Egypt’s Minister of Awqaf, attended the opening ceremony of the schools.
He said that besides memorization of the Quran, the schools will focus on the correct interpretation of the Divine verses.
Guma stressed that the students of the Quranic classes will also learn a Quranic life-style and ethics.
The minister added that the country’s Ministry of Communications and Information has produced tablets which can be used by the children at the schools for the memorization of Quran.
Stressing the necessity of disseminating true beliefs among the children to prevent them from being deceived by extremist thoughts, he said that the schools will host children and teenagers aged from 4 to 18.
Guma noted that the ministry pays special attention to the promotion of Quranic teachings in the society and believes that Quran memorizers have great status in this world and the Hereafter.
