Al-Mustafa University’s Quran, Hadith Festival to Be Held in More Countries

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The chancellor of Al-Mustafa International University described the Quran and Hadith Festival as one of the university’s main Quranic activities.
Ayatollah Ali Reza A’arafi told IQNA that the festival has seen good growth in recent years and is planned to be held in more countries.

Efforts are made every year to have participants from more countries and, God willing, it will be held all over the world in the future, he stated.

He noted that in the last edition of the festival, there were participants with some 80 nationalities.

Ayatollah A’arafi also unveiled plans for increasing the number of Quranic categories of the festival.

Last year, the event was held in 17 categories and the number will rise in the future editions, he said.

The latest edition of Al-Mustafa University’s Quran and Hadith Festival was held in November 2015.

The participants competed in categories like Quran and Hadith teachings, Quran and Hadith studies, Quran and Hadith memorization, Quran recitation, memorization of Nahjul Balaqa and Sahifa Sajjadiyya, Adhan, essay writing, translation, weblog, etc.

"Religious Intellectuality and Modern Negligence” was the motto of the 2015 edition of the festival.

The main objective of the festival is to train experts who will play influential role in religious and cultural fields and disseminate the teachings of Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
