According to Al-Arab newspaper, 210 students from 89 Quranic schools from all over India have participated in this edition of the competition, which is sponsored by Qatar.
"Quran brings Us Together” is the motto of the competition, which has been welcomed by a large number of Quran activists and seminarians of the country.
The opening ceremony of the competition was attended by eminent Indian figures and scholars such as Ashfaque Karim, dean of the Medicine Faculty in Jharkhand State, Muhammad Qasim, judge of Bihar state, and Sheikh Abul Kalam Al-Qasimi, president of Shams-ol-Huda University.
Memorization of the entire Quran with different recitation styles, memorization of the entire Quran for teenagers under 15, memorization of the entire Quran for children under 10, memorization of Nabawi Hadiths, and research on "Islamic manuscript heritage in India” are the different categories of the competition.
