TEHRAN (IQNA) – An educational Quran reading program is underway for the women serving at the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf, Iraq.

Quranic Program Begins for Servants of Imam Ali (AS) Holy Shrine

According to the holy shrine’s Astan (custodianship), the Quran Section of the Office for Women’s Affairs of the Astan is holding the program based on the Hadith "the best of you is the one who learns and teaches the Quran”.

The participants in the plan improve their Quran reading skills and correct any mistakes they may have in the reading of Surah Fatiha.

Anwar Husnawi, head of the Quran Section said that a large number of the servants have welcomed the program, which is held at different sections and halls of the holy shrine.

She added that it is one of various programs held by the section to enhance the Quranic knowledge of the women.

Surah Fatiha is the first chapter of the Holy Quran which must be read in daily prayers so it is important that every Muslim reads it correctly.
