US in a Struggle against Islam, Iran, and Shias

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said the US is currently in a fight against Islam, Iran and Shia Muslims.

On the occasion of Mab'ath, honoring the great Prophet of Islam (PBUH), a group of officials from the Islamic Republic, Muslim countries’ ambassadors, and people from various social backgrounds met with the Leader of the Revolution.

"Today, the definite American policy is to fight Islam, Iran and Shias,” the Leader said in the meeting in Tehran on Thursday.

In his speech, held on the occasion of Eid al-Maba'th, celebrating the divine revelation of the Prophet Mohammad's (Peace Be Upon Him) appointment to Prophethood, the Leader added that US leaders see Iran as a hurdle to their policies.

"Lately, the Americans have announced that Iran’s policy in the region is a cause for sanctions and confrontation, meaning ‘you, the Iranian people who are vigilant and aware; you have to back down and let us do our work’.”

"This is ignorance,” Ayatollah Khamenei said, using the word Jahilliyah (days of ignorance) which refers to the barbaric condition in which Humankind from around the world found themselves in pre-Islamic Era.
