Iran to Hold Islamic Arts Exhibition in Spain

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Cultural Center in Spain plans to hold an exhibition of Islamic-Iranian arts on May 10 at the University of Murcia, in Murcia, a city in south-eastern Spain.

Talking to IQNA, Alireza Esmaili, Iran's cultural attaché in Spain, said that the exhibition will be organized in line with the Quranic programs of the center.

He said it will be hosted by the museum of the university for 15 days.

Artworks by Mohsen Soleimani, Mohammadreza Honarwar and Aliasghar Mirzakhanian, Iranian calligraphers and experts of illumination, will be presented at the expo.

Esmaili added that some forums are also planned by the center to be held at the university.

A translation of a book titled "Asrar Al-Tawhid”, by Abu Saeed Abulkhayr (famous Iranian scholar and poet of the 4th-5th century A.H.), into Spanish will be introduced in a forum on May 11.

The book was translated by Joaquin Rodriguez Vargas, renowned Spanish translator, and published by Mandala Publications in 305 pages last year.

It includes an introduction by the Iranian cultural attaché and a biography of the author and his thoughts written by the translator in 22 pages.

The programs will be attended by the chancellor of the university, the deputy of the university in cultural and international affairs and some local officials.
