First Round Winners of Al-Kawthar Int’l Quran Competition Announced
According to the relations and international cooperation section of Al-Kawthar TV Network, the first round of the competition concluded on the sixth night of the holy month of Ramadan.
18 Qaris from Egypt, Afghanistan, Iran, Lebanon, Morocco, France, Saudi Arabia, the US and Austria competed in this round.
Mahmoud Yazdi from Iran, Ma’adh Ayat Al-Ain from Morocco, Seyyed Murteza Muhseni from Afghanistan and Muhammad Sabir Abdul Ghaffar from Egypt respectively scored 5/85, 5/84, 5/83, 5/78 and qualified to compete in the semi-final stage.
The phone-in Quran competition titled "Inna lil-Muttaqina Mafaza” (Indeed, for the righteous is attainment- Holy Quran, 78:31) began on the first night of the holy month of Ramadan.
The competition includes three stages: preliminary, semi-final and final. The preliminary stage will continue until the 24th of the holy month.
