TEHRAN (IQNA) – Quran exhibition are being held in over 100 cities in Iran during Ramadan, a Quranic official said.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the international section of the 24th Tehran International Quran Exhibition, Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Heshmati welcomed the foreign guests attending the exhibition and said one of the Quranic programs held in Iran during Ramadan every year is the Quran expo.

He said that in this holy month, in addition to Tehran, other major cities in the country also host exhibitions featuring the Holy Quran.

Hojat-ol-Islam Heshmati noted that the Quran exhibition in Tehran is underway in an area covering 50,000 square meters in Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall).

He said different pavilions at the expo feature Quranic works and accomplishments of artists, Quranic institutes and others.

The official further hoped that through expert forums planned in the international section of the exhibition, the ground will be set for enhancing cooperation in Quranic fields among Islamic countries.

The international expo kicked off in Tehran on June 13 and will run for two weeks.

The annual Quranic event showcases a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Quran.
