Quran Memorization Competition Underway in Libya
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran memorization competition has been organized since June 27 in Gado city of Northwest Libya.
According to libyaakhbar.com, the Minarat Al-Quran Institute of the region is hosting the competition held on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
81 Students from 10 Quran memorization centers in this part of the country have participated in the Quranic event which will continue until June 30.
The Quran activists compete on the memorization of 15 Juzes (parts) of Quran, one third of Quran, a quarter of Quran, the last five, three and two Juzes, and the 30th Juz of Quran.
It has been planned for two groups of participants including the Quran students and housewives.
Two committees of Quran experts supervise the competition.
