TEHRAN (IQNA) – Head of the National Quran Association of Tunisia hailed the Islamic Republic of Iran as a pioneering country in Quranic activities.

In a meeting with Iranian Cultural Attaché in Tunisia, Mohammad Assadi Movahed in Tunis, Sheikh Muhammad Mushfir also referred to his presence in Iran in 2011 to serve as a member of the panel of judges in the Islamic Republic’s International Quran Competition, and praised the good planning for the competition, the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations (ICRO) reported

Assadi Movahed, for his part, said Iran makes a lot of efforts to promote the Quranic culture, including organization of Quran competitions.

He noted that there are also many works published in the country every year in the field of Quran and Hadith sciences.

The Iranian cultural attaché further asked Sheikh Mushfir to introduce Tunisia’s representatives in the upcoming International Quran Competition for Muslim Students.

The 6th edition of the competition is slated to be held in early January 2017 in the holy city of Mashhad, northeast Iran.
