TEHRAN (IQNA) – A prominent Egyptian Quran reciter underlined that the Quran’s teachings and injunctions should be acted upon in all aspects of life.

Muslim Must Act Upon Quranic Tenets in All Aspects of Life

Speaking to IQNA, Ahmed Ahmed Noaina said the Muslim Ummah’s behavior, words and deeds ought to be based on the Quran.

He added that the pure teachings of the Holy Book should be present in all dimensions of a Muslim’s life.

Asked about ways to stand up against Western cultural and ideological onslaught against the Islamic Ummah, Noaina said the onslaught should be confronted through reason and logic.

He referred to verse 125 of Surah Nahl, "Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided,” and said the illuminating verse is the best guide on how to deal with the West.

Elsewhere, the prominent Qari highlighted the Quran’s verses on the importance of protecting the institution of family, including the orders to respect parents.

He noted that the Holy Quran says: "And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.” ( Surah al-Isra, verse 23)

Born in 1954 in the city of Mutubas, Egypt, Ahmed Ahmed Noaina began learning the Holy Quran by heart at the age of 4 and managed to memorize the entire Holy Book at 8.

He studied styles of Quran recitation with Master Mustafa Esmaeel, and at the same time continued his academic education in Pediatrics.

Noaina is considered as one of the most prominent Quran recitation masters in Egypt and the Muslim world.
