12,000 students from Karbala and other provinces of Iraq took the courses, which were aimed at promoting the culture of the Holy Quran and the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
They featured lessons on memorization of the Quran, tenets of Islam, Fiqh (jurisprudence), and ethics.
Quranic activities, including competitions, recitation sessions and Quranic courses have been growing significantly in Iraq over the past few years.
