Seminar on Imam Sadeq’s (AS) Thought in Persian Literature Held in India

TEHRAN (IQNA) – “Imam Sadeq’s (AS) Thought in Persian Literature” was discussed in a seminar held earlier this week in New Delhi, India.

According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the two-day program was organized by the Persian Language Department of the Jamia Millia Islamia in cooperation with India’s Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) Assembly.

A number of academic, cultural and religious figures participated in the seminar hosted by Delhi University.

Addressing the program, Kalb Sadiq, an eminent Indian intellectual, said that according to the infallible Imam (AS), it is necessary for Muslims to develop their knowledge.

Tal’at Ahmad, chancellor of the Jamia Millia Islamia, was another speaker in the seminar who stressed the importance of such international programs in introducing and promoting the thoughts and teachings of great figures to solve the problems of the Muslim world.

Also speaking in the program were Seyyed Khosrow Husseini, Indian intellectual, Dhafar-ol-Islam, editor in chief of Gazzette national weekly, Hojat-ol-Islam Mahdipur, representative of the Supreme Leader in India, and Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mohsen Taqavi, head of the assembly who highlighted the role of Imam Sadeq (AS) in disseminating the teachings of Islam and training great Muslim figures.

28 papers by Iranian and Indian scholars were presented at the seminar.
