Turkish Blind Man Memorizes Quran Using Braille Copy

According to Timeturk website, Taha Aslan, aged 20, memorized the Quran using a Braille copy of the Holy Book.

He took a Quran memorization course at a boarding school in Kutahya, a city in western Turkey.

Taha says he memorized three to four pages of the Quran every day and it took him a little more than eight months to learn the entire Holy Book by heart.

He is currently studying theology at a university in Kutahya.

A ceremony is planned to be held in the city soon to honor the visually-impaired Quran memorizer for his achievement.

The Quran has 30 Juzes (parts), 114 Surahs (chapters) and 6,236 verses, and so memorizing the entire Quran is an achievement that requires a lot of efforts and time.
