TEHRAN (IQNA) – A man who had stolen an ancient copy of the Holy Quran and was seeking to sell it was arrested in Egypt.

The man is an employee of the Arab country’s tourism and cultural heritage department, according to al-Yawm al-Sabi website.

He was trying to sell the invaluable copy of the Holy Book at 1.2 million dollars.

Police detained the man and seized the manuscript copy in his home in al-Faysal, Giza Governorate.
