The participants issued a statement at the closing ceremony in which they described the Islamic Awakening Movement as a harbinger of return to genuine and sublime Islamic teachings and aspirations.
They highlighted the growing role of religion, especially Islam, in the world and said Islamic Awakening is clearly burgeoning in the region despite attempts against it by the international Zionist system.
They further referred to the challenges facing the Muslim world today and said Muslim countries ought to come together and discuss views on ways to counter the crises that have beset the Muslim world.
The participants also underscored the need for enhancement of Islamic unity and solidarity to tackle the challenges, including spread of Islamophobia, divisive activities of sectarianists and other threats.
Elsewhere in the statement, the participants referred to the crises in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, denouncing foreign interference and aggression against these Muslim countries.
They also reiterated that the cause of Palestine remains the main issue in the Muslim world and that Islamic countries should consider the Zionist regime the number one enemy and spare no efforts to liberate the land of Palestine.
