"We welcome holding interfaith dialogue between Iran and Serbia,” he said Monday in a meeting in Belgrade with Head of Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman.
Ebrahimi Torkaman in this meeting noted that the world’s divine religions have no deep difference, underlining the need for dialogue among religions.
He said the Islamic Republic is a pioneering country in terms of interfaith dialogue and has held several rounds of such dialogue with faith leaders from different countries.
He also expressed Iran’s readiness for cooperation with Serbia in this field.
Ebrahimi Torkaman is in Serbia to attend the opening ceremony of the 61st International Belgrade Book Fair, which was launched on Sunday.
