Iran’s Representatives in Int’l Quran Contests Announced
They have been selected from among top Quranic activists of the country who attended the 10th edition of a program held by a committee tasked with assessing the qualification of Qaris and memorizers for dispatching the best to international contests.
According to the committee, Quran reciters Hamed Alizadeh, Seyed Mostafa Hosseini, Mohammad Ali Eslami, and Abuzar Karami will represent Iran in Quran competitions in Malaysia, Turkey, Algeria, and Jordan, respectively.
As for memorizers of the Quran, Mahmoud Mohammadinia and Mostafa Esfehanian will compete for Iran in international Quranic events in Russia and Turkey, while Mohammad Rasoul Takbiri and Ali Feizi will be sent to Sudan and the United Arab Emirates.
Iranian Quran reciters and memorizers have had a very good record in international Quran competitions in recent years, winning a great many top titles in prestigious Quranic events such as Malaysia International Quran contest.
