TEHRAN (IQNA) – The holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad is hosting special programs this week for non-Iranian pilgrims of the holy shrine on the demise anniversary of Hazrat Ma’soumeh (SA).

Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Jalal Husseini, deputy of Islamic dissemination and relations of the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine, told IQNA that a series of religious sessions are held at the Dar-ol-Marhama Hall of the mausoleum.

The hall also hosts a series of religious-moral speeches titled "In the School of Imam Hassan Askari (AS)” which are delivered after the evening prayers.

The political-social Seerah of Imam Askari (AS) will be clarified for Urdu-speaking pilgrims at the Kawthar Hall of the holy shrine.

There are also cultural competitions planned to be held for Urdu-speakers this week. Education in the Holy Quran and obstacles in the way of religious training in view of Quran are the main themes of the competitions.

Azeri and Turkish-speaking pilgrims can participate in the morning sessions where the lifestyle of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) is introduced at the Ghadir Hall.

There will be also sessions held for English-speaking pilgrims at 10 a.m. local time. The moral characteristics of Imam Reza (AS), the status of Islamic government and the period of the Imam’s Velayat Ahdi (successorship to the caliphate) and its influence on the formation of Islamic civilization are discussed in the sessions.
