39 Qaris, memorizers and veteran Quran activists were commended at the event for their achievements in Quranic fields.

The ceremony is annually organized by the Dar-ol-Quran Karim Organization in a bid to appreciate efforts made in the field of Quranic activities.

This year’s event was named after late Quran master Mohammad Taqi Morovvat, who passed away in October last year.

A number of Master Morovvat’s students, including Abbas Salimi, Seyed Mohsen Mousavi Baladeh and Mohammad Reza Solhju were present at the function.

Among those honored were Mojtaba Fardfani who came first in the memorization category of Iran’s National Quran Competition, Hadi Movahedamin who bagged the top prize in Croatia’s international Quran contest, and Ebrahim Fallah Tabassomchehreh who won the third title in Kuwait’s international Holy Quran competition.
