Islamic Awakening, A Return to Pure Islam
Speaking in a gathering of foreign guests of ceremonies marking the 38th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran on Thursday, Ali Akbar Velayati added that the Islamic Awakening has spread all over the world.
He further highlighted the leadership of Imam Khomeini (RA), the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the Islamic Awakening movement, saying what Imam Khomeini (RA) pursued was nothing but Islam.
He also stressed that Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s steadfastness against the Zionists encouraged the nations of Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, and Tunisia to stand up against domination.
Velayati also pointed to new US President Donald Trump’s rhetoric against Muslim countries, saying that Muslims would teach him a lesson if he continues his impudent stances against Islamic countries.
The foreign guests, coming from different countries, will take part in programs marking the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution Friday.
The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 38 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.
The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
Every year, millions of Iranians take part in rallies and ceremonies to celebrate the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution’s victory.
