TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 7th General Conference of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) concluded in the Moroccan capital city of Rabat on Tuesday.

Conference of Islamic World Universities Federation Concludes in Rabat

The two-day conference was held at the headquarters of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO).

It was attended by more than 120 rectors of Member Universities, representatives of various organizations, federations, Islamic and international institutions, many Islamic countries’ ambassadors to the Kingdom of Morocco, and representatives of local and international media.

The participants highlighted their support for Palestine’s Al-Quds University and its measures in resistance against the crimes committed by the occupying Zionist regime.

"Cooperation and Partnership for Developing Joint University Action” and "Financial Sustainability and University Institutional Performance” were among the themes discussed in the international program.

Established in 1987, the ISESCO-affiliated Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) has 314 members, essentially universities and higher institutes.
