Taqipour, who had won the first title in the country’s national Quran competition for seminary students in October 2016, took part in a special program held last week and scored the best among the participants.
Twenty top Quran activists from among the country’s seminary students took part in the program, held for selecting Iran’s representative in the international Quranic event, he noted.
Taqipour will compete for Iran in the recitation category of the contest.
The Iranian capital of Tehran is planned to host the first international Quran competition for seminarians.
It will be held in April concurrent with the 34th edition of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s International Holy Quran Competition.
