TEHRAN (IQNA) – Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs held a graduation ceremony for a group of imams and teachers of Holy Quran from Kyrgyzstan for participating in a training course on Holy Quran.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Kyrgyz Ambassador to Qatar Nuran Niyazaliev, Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Mehinna Al Marrai, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani Holy Quran Contest and other officials of the ministry.

Sixteen imams and teachers of Holy Quran from across Kyrgyzstan participated in the course. A week-long course was organized by the Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani Holy Quran Contest under a program offered to non-Arabic speakers, the Peninsula reported.

The course was held at Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center during March 19 to 25.

A group of famous scholars and preachers from the Ministry delivered lectures.
